“Being Guided in Truth”

Send forth your light and your truth,
let them guide me;
let them bring me to your holy mountain,
to the place where you dwell.

(Psalm 43:3)

Within complete darkness, light has an amazing ability – even a small flicker of a candle can illuminate an entire room.

There’s something to learn from this. After all, we often do find ourselves in figurative “darkness.” But it’s exactly in those moments (where we feel lost, confused, and uncertain) that God can bring us out.

The book of Psalms is filled with encouragement, but Psalm 43:3 offers a comfort like no other. It shares assurance and security: that God will send forth his light to us, to lead us to the place where He is. All we need to do, then, is fixate our eyes on His Word of truth and allow ourselves to be guided.

Are you being guided by God today?

What will you be thankful for today to God?
