“The Love of the Creator”

This is what God the Lord says—
He who created the heavens and stretched them out,
who spread out the earth and all that comes out of it,
who gives breath to its people,
and life to those who walk on it.

(Isaiah 42:5)

“Love” – It’s just one word, but it contains the power to stir so much within us: Emotion. Warmth. Security. Comfort. Happiness.

And more often than not, we find ourselves questioning whether we are loved, and seeking out sources of love. But when we allow ourselves to pause, we can recognize that we actually live every day surrounded by love.

Isaiah 42:5 conveys that God is the Creator, who created the heavens, the earth, and everything that is within it. He also grants breath and life to His people.

Though we might be used to love in the form of a warm hug or encouraging message, God chooses to share His love by abundantly and freely giving us life.

And just like how a parent works tirelessly to ensure that their children have life, God is our loving Father, who works to nourish, sustain, and protect us.

If we can recognize the true love given by our Father, how is it that we can show love to the Father in return?
