“Trust in the Lord”

Trust in the Lord with all your heart
and lean not on your own understanding;
in all your ways acknowledge Him,
and he will make your paths straight.

(Proverbs 3:5-6)

Many times, we feel uncertain of the next step we should take. What is ahead seems unfamiliar and relying on ourselves just doesn’t seem to be enough.

But Scriptures contain an amazing promise: that one who wholeheartedly places their trust in God will walk on a path made straight by Him.

Proverbs 3:5-6 guides us to trust in God with all of our heart. This requires us to let go of trusting in our own intuition. Instead, we need to put in effort in seeking God, wanting to know Him in all ways – leaning not on our own understanding, but on God’s.

Though this might sound daunting to do, it’s actually quite simple. By putting our focus on God’s Word which contains His wisdom and understanding, we can develop a strong trust of the faithful God that the Scriptures testify about.

How will you trust God today?
